'Dinner is Served' (Centruroides vittatus)
In the Hill Country of Central Texas, these small striped bark scorpions (Centruroides vittatus) start to 'invade' our home this time of year.<br />
A few days ago I was outside for a bit, brushed up against a rose bush next to the house. A few minutes later after going inside, I felt something crawling on my shoulder & brushed it to the floor.. A scorpion, yikes! <br />
I found this one in a serving dish from the cupboard yesterday. So I 'adopted' it long enough to feed it. I grabbed a small cricket from outside, & watched the action.<br />
A ringside seat so to speak..<br />

Seemed only fitting I should feed my guest before kickin' em' out. :)
